Animal Shelter Maintenance Assistance Run By Transgender Community

RKFoodland’s Noida DC provided infrastructural support to an animal shelter run by the transgender community.

The animal shelter is run by the transgender community wherein they care of all abandoned animals with poor health and injury. However, low support is received and it is difficult to maintain the shelter and take care of the animals. The walls, floor and shed were repaired and cleaned. Open windows were taken care of to help animals stay protected from the chills of winter. A vet was arranged to check the animals and provide support. Appropriate vaccination and medication was undertaken for better health and immunity of the animals.

Day Spent At With Specially Abled Children

RKFoodland’s Thane office visited Jagruti Welfare Trust for (Mentally and Physically Challenged) Children, at Dahisar.

The children at the center are completely dependent on the others for their needs as well as the smallest daily activities. There was complete lack of amenities, and so wheel chairs, toys, hygiene material, grocery and rechargeable fans were provided to them by us. With this wheelchair the attendants can mobilize these kids easily, while the rechargeable fan will be great help for them as summer is approaching and the location is remote. A day was well spent with the children and they were very happy with the gifts.

Day Spent At Aadharavu Illam Home For Specially Abled People

RKFoodland’s Durainallur DC visited Aadharavu Illam Home at Periyapalayam.

The Aadharavu Illam Home housed many mentally challenged people and longed for someone to spend time with them and take care of the place they stayed at. Our team spent time with them, served them lunch. Apart from that, they distributed various blankets and gifts as per necessity. They took care of tree plantation to make the environment more pleasant and helped with cleaning. They left a well-spent day with happy faces behind.

Cleaning Activity At Bal Gopal Gaushala, Ludhiana

RKFoodland’s Ludhiana DC visited Bal Gopal Gaushala at Dharuhera.

The Ludhiana DC team visited a Gaushala at the outskirts of Ludhiana which was in a poor shape. The cows were inflicted with disease due to unhygienic environment and care could not be taken due to poor flow of funds. The team cleaned each and every corner of the Gaushala and ensure that hygiene is maintained. Proper painting and refurbishing wherever required for undertaken. They fed all the cows and spent an entire day with them.

Electrification At Natundih Village Through Solar Energy

RK Foodland’s Jungalpur DC provides electricity to 15 families in Purulia District, West Bengal.

The Jungalpur DC team identified 15 families in the Natundih village of Purulia which were below poverty line and ensured complete electrification of their homes. They couldn’t afford the earlier installed electricity lines and had cut them off and were in darkness always post sunset. They installed solar panels in each of their homes and also gave future provisions to support for LED lights for two years. Now their children can study and the families can cook and do other chores post sunset.

Supporting Deaf & Blind Children In Howrah, Kolkata

RKFoodland’s Jungalpur DC visited the children at Ananda Bhavan Deaf and Blind School in Uluberia, Howrah. The team met the teachers at school multiple times to understand requirements thoroughly.

Our team arranged for required technical items for the children’s studies and well as sports and other activities. The children welcomed our team with a classical performance. Our team interacted with them and gave them the items arranged from Dehradun.

Cleanliness Awareness At Uttar Pradesh School

RKFoodland’s Ghaziabad DC along with Mondelez’s team visited a Government School in Galand village of U.P. The same school was visited last year when students used to sit on the floor. The matter was taken up by RK Foodland team and desks were provided to students.

This year, an initiative to clean the playground and entire premises were undertaken. The children were also briefed on pollution, its effects and measures to control it. Various competitions for the children were organised – best out of waste, rangoli and painting. A race track was prepared on the playground and all children participated. They were given sweets and chocolates and winners were awarded trophies.

CSR Activity For Special Children In New Delhi School

RK Foodland’s Mundka DC visited Prateek Special School of (Mentally and Physically Challenged) Children at New Delhi on the occasion of Children’s Day.

Various leisure activities like a basketball game and musical chairs were organised for the 70-odd children there and winners were awarded for the same. The children were briefed about road safety and self-safety and precautions over drinking and eating. Lunch was organised for all the children and staff at the school. The event concluded with a feedback session.

CSR Activity In Association With Mondelez

RK Foodland, along with Mondelez had a day out with kids at a Government Primary School on the eve of Children’s Day.

Some of the activities that we conducted on the 128th birthday of Chacha Nehru include cleaning of the school premises, training sessions with the children on pollution control. We conducted various competitions such as painting, running, waste management, and rangoli.

We distributed lunch and sweets among all the participants, which was followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

CSR Activity In Association With Lucknow P&G

RK Foodland, along with P&G Lucknow conducted a diabetes awareness and training campaign in Lucknow. 

Diabetes currently affects more than 62 million Indians, which is more than 7.1% of the adult population. The average age of onset is 42.5 years. A study by the American Diabetes Association reports that India will see the greatest increase in people diagnosed with diabetes by 2030.

We planned to initiate a campaign to educate the villagers on Diabetes in association with Government campaigns. The DC team visited villages at Gandhi Mawaiya, Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow, and primary schools, and met students and teachers to train them.

The program was announced aligning with the Gram Pradhan (village head). We arranged discussions with doctors for successful completion of the program - and also conducted blood tests, etc.  We also made sure that the program received proper visibility through awareness campaigns. Our staff made sure to spread word-of-mouth awareness of the campaign by going door-to-door, & also by distributing pamphlet/flyers for the program.

It was a great success.

Common CSR Activity on 'Drug Awareness Campaign'

RK Foodland – Mondelez DC at Ludhiana conducted a CSR activity at Government Elementary School Kanganwal, Ludhiana on 'How Drugs Are Dangerous For Human Being'.

A play on drugs was scripted and organised - providing a deeper understanding of it, and its related consequences on the person's life, as well as sufferings of his/her family members. Sports activities were also encouraged by distributing footballs to students and the school.

An induction session was also carried out by RK Foodland on Food Safety to the locals and the school staff.

Plantation & Environment Cleaning CSR Activity By Ludhiana DC

An awareness campaign "Think Green, Act Green for Clean Environment" was executed by RKFoodland Ludhiana DC.

Activities included cleaning the school's surrounding environment, including planting plants and trees, watering them, and finally taking an oath to save plans and keep the environment clean.

CSR Activity at Child Old Blind Home Welfare Society

RKFoodland conducted a CSR activity at Child Old Blind Home Welfare Society at Nangloi, New Delhi.

During this activity, an introduction was done with visually impaired boys. A cricket match was also organised between two of their teams, followed by prize and trophy presentation to the winning team captain. A special lunch session was organised for the boys. The event was concluded with a singing and music session, followed by a 'Food Safety Awareness' session for all.

Awareness Campaign on Digital Transactions at Galland Village, Hapur, Ghaziabad, UP

RKFoodland Ghaziabad DC organised a CSR activity on digital monetary transactions at Galland village in the district of Hapur.

We planned the agenda with Nukkad Natak Group, followed by briefing the team about the target audience. Thereafter the team addressed the villagers on the topic and also got the audience involved thereby educating & providing a hands-on demo. The team received a lot of appreciation by the locals for their efforts.

Cleanliness Drive at A Local School & Extending Facility Support

A CSR activity was conducted by RKFoodland Ghaziabad DC at a primary school.

The general conditions of the school surrounding were quite daunting and unhygienic. Additionally, the students had no furniture to sit in their classroom. An open discussion with the teachers was carried out spreading awareness of cleanliness and hygiene. The team carried out thorough cleanliness drive across the school including repairment of the school wall with cement. They also planted plants and trees across the school compound.

An order for benches has been placed will be installed in CSR 1 of 2017-18. The activity was concluded with distribution of sweets to the children.

CSR Activity for 2016-2017 at Jangalpur

There is a small school within 5 km's from Jangalpur RKFL DC which teach and train poor children in different sports and cultural activities – mainly gymnastics, Indian classical dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, Drawing etc; run by few local women.

They participate in district level competition also. They face financial crisis all the times because children unable to pays their fees properly. Further, in the rainy season water come down inside the room because of damage roof. On 30th and 31st March 2017, we visited that school and repaired the damages with the help of expert labourers, then painted the school. We cleaned up the surrounding areas and thereafter spent time with the children and also distributed chocolates. Teachers and students were extremely happy with our combined efforts.

CSR Activity by Jaipur DC

A CSR activity was conducted by our Jaipur DC on cleanliness and hygiene.

The school compound was cleaned and freshly painted. We installed water-pots for children. We also conducted a sports activity for the children followed by a general awareness session for all. The activity was concluded with the plantation of plants and trees across the school compound.

Joy of Giving - West

West, (Corporate Office, Bhiwandi DC’s & Kalamboli DC ): Ma Niketan is a Home to 300 little Angels in the age group of 4 to 22 years in the Thane District of Mumbai City.

Our Team from the Corporate Office and West DC’s spent a day with the children with music dance & fun. A donation of essential groceries to last a month was contributed with the help of the wholehearted contributions made by our employees.

Joy of Giving, South

Joy of Giving week was celebrated in our South , West & North DC’s.

With a view to extend our Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to those sections of the society which are most neglected, RK Foodland DC’s in the South, West & North celebrated the Joy of Giving week with small yet valued contributions made to marginalized institutions and charity homes across locations.


Our team from Ranjangaon DC visited Gokul Vrudhashram , which is an old age home situated at Nawra Phatha, Shirur district Pune.

Lunch was prepared by the team members and served to the elders residing at the home. Our team ensured a memorable day for themselves as well as the inhabitants at Gokul Vrudhashram.

Joy of Giving - North

North : As part of the initiative, stationeries were distributed by our team in North to the children at the local municipal school Rajkiya Prathmik Pathshala run by the government of Haryana based at Piaou Maniyari, Kundli.

CSR at Kolkatta DC’s

As part of the CSR initiative, employees of Kolkatta MCD, Razbaan & Jungalpur DCs visited the Calcutta Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology (CMIG) Founded in 1988.

CMIG is a voluntary organization dedicated to taking care of elderly people. The services rendered by CMIG are Day Care Centre, Mobile Medicare Services, Geriatric Care Centre and Feeding Program.The Team spent a day with the elderly at the home and distributed Lunch Packets and Blankets to the residents at the home.
